2 nights. 1 cabin. 15 artists. Countless beers.

If you're Trap Street, that all adds up to one very successful Artists' Retreat!

We've hosted several afternoon "mini-retreats" over the last few years, but back in April, we embarked on our first weekend retreat in a huge amazing house in the mountains. Our writers, actors, musicians and artists gathered together for fellowship and 3 days of solo and collaborative creating.

Not only did we all make some talented new friends, we also brought 4 amazing devised works into the world: a musical about foosball, a historical drama in a bathroom, a scary story with a lot of annoyed ghosts, and a tale about evil tech bros and their magical hot tub. We performed these brand-new scenes for each other over cocktails and uproarious laughter.

We also found time for some more traditional Artist Retreat activities like group hikes, yoga, guided free-writing, and communal meals. And just to reiterate: there was a hot tub. It may have not actually belonged to evil tech bros, but it was pretty magical.

Thanks to all the artists who participated and we can't wait for our next retreat. If you're interested in being part of the next adventure, drop us a line!
